Mr. Weiner was born in New York on April 17, 1958. He was admitted to the New Jersey State Bar Association in 1983, U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey and U.S. Supreme Court.
Mr. Weiner received his undergraduate degree at the University of Maryland (B.A.) in 1980 and his law degree at Hofstra University (J.D.) in 1983. He performed his judicial clerkship for the Honorable Edward J. Van Tassel, Superior Court, Bergen County, from 1983 to 1984.
Richard H. Weiner, Managing Partner of the firm, has been practicing law for over 28 years, with a focus on matrimonial and family law handling complex divorce matters involving professionals and business owners and their spouses. Mr. Weiner has handled all phases of trial, mediations and negotiation in areas including alimony and child support matters, marriage dissolution, equitable distribution, property division, spousal support, and child custody and parenting time issues. Recognized throughout the state for his no-nonsense, yet practical approach and his unparalleled work ethic, Mr. Weiner is regarded as one of the top family law practitioners in New Jersey. He appears regularly in courts throughout the state and is committed to providing zealous representation on behalf of his clients. Not only has Mr. Weiner been repeatedly selected by his peers as a New Jersey Super Lawyer in the area of Family Law but he has also been selected by his peers for inclusion in the 2014 edition of The Best Lawyers in America in the area of Family Law. He has also been named among New Jersey’s 2015 Best Lawyers of the Year. Additionally, Mr. Weiner recently received the very prestigious Professional Lawyer of the Year Award from the officers, trustees and members of the Bergen County Bar Association in recognition of his conduct throughout his career. He is often called upon to lecture and provide commentary on family law issues to various publications in the State of New Jersey, including The Bergen Record, Newark Star Ledger and the New Jersey Law Journal. Mr. Weiner is rated as “AV Preeminent” by his peers, which is the highest distinction awarded by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory. He has been appointed on numerous occasions to serve as guardian ad litem in extremely high conflict matters relating to children. He is also frequently appointed as a mediator and/or arbitrator by various Superior Court Judges and other prominent matrimonial attorneys.
